The service
DailyDotKids is software for licensed childcare centres in Canada and the USA, operated by Anthor Canada corp (“we”, “us”). It includes the Admin, Teacher, and Parent apps. Production centre data is stored in Canada. Centres may start on our Free plan without a separate signed contract — agreement is through these terms and your affirmative acceptance at signup. Staff and families join by invitation from your centre, not through public self-registration.
We help you keep classroom records, communicate with families, store documents, and track tuition. We do not process parent payments on your behalf. We do not license your centre or certify regulatory compliance.
Plans: Free and Paid
- Free plan: Self-serve in the Admin app or through our guided signup form. No credit card required. Capacity limits apply — see Pricing.
- Paid plan: Unlimited capacity and compliance tools (billing, vault, safety logbook, policy library). Pricing is agreed with us before billing begins; a separate order form or invoice may apply for Paid subscriptions.
We may change plan limits or features with reasonable notice. We will not charge your centre without prior agreement on Paid pricing.
Agreement without a separate contract
For the Free plan, no signed paper or PDF contract is required. Your centre enters a binding agreement with Anthor Canada corp when the owner or authorized representative:
- checks the Terms of Service box and starts Free in the Admin app;
- submits the signup form on dailydotkids.ca after agreeing to these terms; or
- continues using DailyDotKids after we create the centre account, where we record that these terms were provided.
The person accepting must have authority to bind the childcare business. By accepting, you confirm that authority on behalf of your licensed centre.
Your responsibilities
- Authority: You must have the right to use the service for your centre — including parental permission where you log children’s days, upload photos, or store health and emergency information.
- Accounts: Keep logins, invitation codes, and PINs private. You are responsible for activity under accounts you control.
- Records: You remain responsible for your licence, ratios, any paper records your licensing officer still requires, and anything DailyDotKids does not store or export.
- Fair use: Do not attempt unauthorized access, scrape other centres’ data, or use the apps to harm children, families, or staff.
- Plan limits: Stay within the capacity limits of your current plan. Upgrade to Paid if you need higher limits or compliance tools.
Data and privacy
You are responsible for informing families and staff how you use DailyDotKids. Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of this agreement.
Availability and changes
The service is provided on an “as is” basis. We work to keep it reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may update apps, APIs, and these terms. Material changes will be posted on this page. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by Canadian law, Anthor Canada corp is not liable for downtime, lost records, or other indirect losses from using DailyDotKids. Keep copies of anything you cannot afford to lose. The software supports your operations but does not replace your professional judgement as a licensee.
Termination
You may stop using DailyDotKids at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms, non-payment on Paid plans, or abuse. Upon termination, export any records you need before account closure where export is available.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Disputes are subject to the courts of British Columbia.
